The number people get wrong is the weight, not the volume. A mini skip fills up on bulk long before it fills up on tonnage, which is exactly why it is the wrong skip for rubble.

The things people ask before booking.
Almost always. It is roughly 1.8m by 1.3m, about the footprint of a small car, and it needs a bit of clearance for the lorry's arms. If the drive is shared or the access is narrow, tell us when you enquire and we will check before anything is booked.
Not on your own driveway or land. If it has to sit on a public road, the council needs a permit and every council is different. We apply for it, build the cost and the lead time into the quote, and the skip turns up legally.
You can, but you should not. A mini skip reaches its weight limit long before it looks full, so you pay for a skip you could only half fill. For soil, rubble or hardcore we would put you in a 6 yard, which is built for heavy inert waste.
One to two weeks as standard, and longer if you ask. If the job runs on, ring us and we will extend it rather than charging you for a collection you did not want.
Fridges, freezers, tyres, gas bottles, batteries, paint, liquids and chemicals. Plasterboard has to be kept separate from general waste, and asbestos needs a sealed skip and a licensed carrier. Tell us what you have and we will route it properly.
